Expediter  is a staff member who acts as a communication link between servers and kitchen personnel. Servers give their orders to the expediter, who calls the orders to the appropriate kitchen stations. The expediter must provide leadership during hectic rush periods. They must also know cooking times and coordinate them to sequentially deliver cooked foods for pickup.
