French: Memphis et sa nécropole – les zones des pyramides de Guizeh à Dahchour
The Memphis and its Necropolis – the Pyramid Fields from Giza to Dahshur is a World Heritage site in Egypt defined by the UNESCO in 1979 and definitely a recommended cultural sightseeing location.
It is on position 627 (271, 89) in our monthly survey..
"The capital of the Old Kingdom of Egypt has some extraordinary funerary monuments, including rock tombs, ornate mastabas, temples and pyramids. In ancient times, the site was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World."
