French: Basse vallée de l'Omo
The Lower Valley of the Omo is a World Heritage site in Ethiopia defined by the UNESCO in 1980 and definitely a recommended cultural sightseeing location.
It is on position 394 (303, 204) in our monthly survey..

"A prehistoric site near Lake Turkana, the lower valley of the Omo is renowned the world over. The discovery of many fossils there, especially Homo gracilis, has been of fundamental importance in the study of human evolution."
