French: Tombe de Humayun, Delhi
The Humayun's Tomb, Delhi is a World Heritage site in India defined by the UNESCO in 1993 and definitely a recommended cultural sightseeing Location.
It is on position 801 (634, 16) in our monthly survey..
"This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal."
